Since 1996, he has been active at the Stockholm City Theater where he has appeared in several plays. For many, Jähkel is associated with the role of Jan-Olof in the popular TV series C/o Segemyhr, where he played opposite his friend and colleague Johan Ulveson, with whom he also made the cooking show Sjön suger in Kanal 9. His more humorous roles also include the role of Sven -Erik, the oldest of the three Marklund brothers in the TV series Pistvakt.
