Alex Mesquini

Биография

Alex Mesquini is a 15-year-old amateur filmmaker from Barcelona, Spain. Working independently with little to no budget, he embraces guerrilla filmmaking as a way of bringing his ideas to life, driven by his passion for genre cinema, cult films and underground cinema. His main interests include 1970s cinema, Spanish horror, science fiction and low-budget filmmaking. Through Mondo Maldito, his independent film label, he makes short films inspired by the raw aesthetic, creative freedom and rebellious spirit of B-movies and cult cinema. Beyond directing, Mesquini is passionate about screenwriting, editing, cinematography and film criticism, as well as the history of fantastic cinema. As he begins his journey through the film festival circuit, he continues to develop his own voice as a filmmaker, exploring the possibilities of independent cinema with limited resources and plenty of imagination.
