Max Van Ville (born January 13, 1987, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California) is a German-American actor and DJ, professionally known as VANVILLE. A dual citizen of the United States and Germany (Berlin), he speaks English and German, and began his acting career as a teenager in 2003. He is best known for his role as Paul Freedman in Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007), in which he played Lynda Van Der Klok's boyfriend who meets a gruesome end at the hands of Michael Myers. His most notable film credits include the Skateboard Bully in Bad Santa (2003, with Billy Bob Thornton), Chad in Big Momma's House 2 (2006, with Martin Lawrence), Pizza Waiter #2 in Mr. Woodcock (2007, with Seann William Scott), Kid with a Drink in Drillbit Taylor (2008, with Owen Wilson), and the Seventies Kid in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010, with Logan Lerman). On television he appeared as Jeeter James in The Mentalist (2012, CBS), Boris Litvak in Cold Case (2006), Josh Kramer in Numb3rs (2005), and Hans in Malcolm in the Middle (2003), with additional credits in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2004), Buffalo Dreams (2005, TV movie), Beyond the Break (2006), and Pepper Dennis (2006). He also performed the song "My Friends in Costa Rica" on the soundtrack of Costa Rican Summer (2010).
